Terms of Service
Last updated: [DATE]
These Terms govern your use of [verdari.co.uk] and our services, provided by [COMPANY NAME] ("Verdari", "we", "us"), company no. [COMPANY NUMBER], registered at [ADDRESS]. By using Verdari you agree to these Terms.
1. What Verdari does
Verdari lets you check UK vehicles and compare up to three at once. Using official and licensed data, we provide an MOT history, an AI-generated risk score (0–10), a plain-English verdict, and—on paid reports—provenance information (such as finance, write-off and stolen records) and a valuation.
2. Our reports are a guide, not a guarantee
Our scores, verdicts and "AI Pick" are automated estimates based on available data. They are intended to help you make your own informed decision — they are not advice, a recommendation to buy or not buy, or a substitute for a physical inspection or independent professional advice. A vehicle's record is a guide to risk, not a guarantee about any individual car. You remain solely responsible for your purchase decisions.
3. Data accuracy and third-party sources
Vehicle data comes from third parties (e.g. DVLA, DVSA, Experian, Cap HPI). We present it in good faith but cannot guarantee it is complete, accurate or up to date, as it is supplied and maintained by those parties. We are not affiliated with them. A report reflects the data available at the time it was generated.
4. Eligibility and account
You must be 18 or over. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it. You may only check vehicles where you have a legitimate reason to do so.
5. Pricing and payment
- Current prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. We may change prices, but changes won't affect a purchase you've already made.
- Reports are one-off purchases. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- A purchased report remains accessible to you for 90 days; obtaining fresh data after that is a new purchase.
- Payments are processed by Stripe.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Reports are digital content/services delivered immediately. By purchasing and accessing a report, you ask us to begin supply right away and acknowledge that you therefore lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel once delivery has begun (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — if a report is faulty or not as described, you may be entitled to a refund or remedy. To raise an issue, contact [support@verdari.co.uk].
7. Data guarantee
Where a data guarantee is offered on a report, it is subject to separate [Guarantee Terms] (including eligibility, exclusions and a claims process). The guarantee only applies where it is expressly shown as included with your purchase.
8. Acceptable use
You must not: resell, redistribute or republish our reports or data; scrape, bulk-extract or systematically access the service; use automated means beyond normal personal use; or use Verdari unlawfully or to harass any person. Trade/dealer use requires a separate agreement. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
9. Intellectual property
The Verdari name, logo, software, scoring methodology and report formats are owned by us or our licensors. You get a personal, limited licence to use reports you've purchased for your own car-buying purposes.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, and to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: we are not liable for losses arising from your reliance on a report beyond its nature as an automated guide, for inaccuracies in third-party data, or for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Our total liability relating to a report is limited to [the amount you paid for it / the data-guarantee amount where applicable].
11. Affiliate links
Some links (e.g. to finance, insurance or warranty providers) are affiliate links from which we may earn a commission. This is disclosed and does not affect your price or influence our scores or verdicts. See our [Affiliate Disclosure].
12. Changes, governing law
We may update these Terms; the current version is always posted here. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
